UWR Week 58 – Spitfires and Cannons

This week we head down to deepest darkest Cornwall to collect our large props. The fantastic guys at the spitfiresociety.com/, lead by David Evans have built the cockpit of a Mark 5 B Spitfire out of fibreglass. This will be used in the 1942 film and we are busy finishing and painting it now. Our very own Jen Groves has developed the cannon further and has completed the first. This is back at Realm HQ being painted and Jen is ready to start work on the other 9!!

We have also found a studio space in Devon we can use for a couple of months to shoot the “dry” parts of these films so its all hands to deck for construction of the ship.

UWR Week 57 – Capturing Behind the Scenes

This week we meet Arthur Douglass (@BbasementStairs), our American producer, who is coming to the UK to help create the BTS documentary whilst we’re shooting in the underwater studio.

We also want to say Hi to photographer, Ben Von Wong (@vonwongphoto) who has launched a campaign to come to Europe – indiegogo.com/vonwongdoeseurope. His work is truly amazing and we are honoured to work with him in producing some stunning editorial photos. Check out more of Ben’s work and follow his journey at vonwong.com/blog and receive updates at facebook.com/vonwongphotography

We are also looking for a photographer of our own. We need someone to come to the London studio and shoot production stills. If you think you have this reportage style please get in touch with team@realm-pictures.com or through the blog theunderwaterrealm.com
